- Letter from Joseph A. DeLaine, Sr., of Lake City, South Carolina to J. S. Boyd, president of the Clarendon County branch of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) regarding Boyd's "unjustifiable" attack on DeLaine at a recent meeting at Boyd's home. DeLaine states, "attacks from enemies are expected by me; but attacks from my friends who are working for a common cause, is quite alarming."
