- Speech made on May 17, 1974 by Joseph A. DeLaine, Sr., a sponsor of the 20th Anniversary celebration of the United States Supreme Court decision outlawing segregation in public schools, held in New York, New York. In the speech, DeLaine details his involvement in the Clarendon County, South Carolina, school segregation case, also known as Briggs v. Elliott, its relation to the 1954 decision Brown v. Board of Education, and the founding of the Clarendon County branch of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People.
