Marsh discusses the behavior of demonstrators and counter-demonstrators at S&W cafeteria in 1963, the May 1969 riot at NC A&T, and the instructions to and actions of fire officials during both. He also discusses the role of Jesse Jackson, Capt. William Jackson and other police officers, the integration of the fire service, and the progress of race relations in Greensboro.
