- Oral history in which George Evans discusses his role as chairman of the Special Committee on Human Rights and as a member the Greensboro Citizens Association during the civil rights demonstrations in 1963. He describes negotiations with the business owners, city council, and demonstrators regarding desegregation of downtown businesses, and comments on the accomplishments of the civil rights movement and the growth of economic opportunity for African Americans.
