- As a nineteen-year old Fisk University student and participant in the Nashville Movement, LeRoy Glenn Wright rode a Greyhound bus from Montgomery, Alabama to Jackson, Mississippi on a May 24, 1961 Freedom Ride. He was arrested the following day in Jackson, Mississippi for his participation.
