Sheviakov, Rick Stanley, 1943-
Born in 1943, Rick Stanley Sheviakov was a student at San Francisco State University in Berkeley, California when he was arrested for his participation in the Freedom Rides during the summer of 1961. As part of the Freedom Ride, Sheviakov, along with nine others, took a Greyhound bus from Nashville, Tennessee to Jackson, Mississippi where he was arrested on 29 July 1961. Sheviakov went on to later become a psychologist for the Marin Country, California public school system.
