Reagon, Cordell Hull, 1943-1996
Biography:
A Nashville, Tennessee native; Freedom rider from Montgomery, Alabama to Jackson, Mississippi on June 2, 1961 and from Atlanta, Georgia to Albany, Georgia on November 1, 1961; and a member of the SNCC Freedom Singers, Reagon was a SNCC activist in Albany and Southwest Georgia from 1961 to 1963. He married fellow Freedom Singer Bernice Johnson in 1963, and their marriage ended in divorce in 1967.
