- Biography:
- Claire O'Connor was a twenty-two year old nurse and student at University of Minnesota when she was arrested in Jackson, Mississippi for her participation in a Freedom Ride. As part of the Freedom Ride, O'Connor and six others took a Greyhound bus from Nashville, Tenneseee to Jackson, Mississippi where they were arrested on 11 June 1961.
