Nakell, Barry

Barry Nakell was a law professor at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. In the mid-1970s, he traveled to Robeson County to help a group of Lumbee Native Americans to save an historic building and to end the practice of "double voting" where some residents were able to vote for both city and county school boards.--From Oral Histories of the American South biography.
