Manfield, Saul Bernard, 1927-2005


Saul Bernard Manfield was a thirty-four year old television factory worker in Chicago, Illinois when he was arrested for his participation in the Freedom Rides. Manfield was arrested in the Trailways terminal in Jackson, Mississippi on 9 July 1961 after he and seven others rode a bus from Montgomery, Alabama to Jackson, Mississippi.
