Biography:

Farmer, lawyer, and Commissioner of Agriculture for Georgia. Linder served as the surveyor for Jeff Davis County and as a councilman in Hazlehurst, Georgia. He represented Jeff Davis County in the Georgia House of Representatives from 1923 to 1926. He served as assistant commissioner of agriculture from 1927 to 1932, as executive secretary to Governor Eugene Talmadge from 1933 to 1934, and as commissioner of agriculture from January 1, 1935 through January 2, 1937 and again from January 1, 1941 to 1954.
