Ivey, Melville Corbett


Melville Corbett Ivey was a sociology graduate student at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill when she met her husband, fellow sociology graduate student John Ivey. After John's graduation, he worked for the Teenssee Valley Authority and taught at UNC-CH and New York University before moving to Atlanta, Georgia, to work for the Southern Regional Education Board.--From Oral Histories of the American South biography.
