Heummer, Douglas, 1947-

Biography:

Born on August 18, 1947 in Los Angeles, California, Douglas Heummer worked as an organizer and participant in civil rights demonstrations and boycotts in Mendenhall, Mississippi. Heummer was arrested along with fellow organizers and students from Tougaloo College in February 1970 following his participation in a local demonstration.
