DeLaine, Frank James, 1883-1985

Biography:

Frank J. DeLaine, b. 1883, d. 14 May 1985; attended public schools in Sumter, South Carolina; attended Morris College in Sumter and South Carolina State College in Orangeburg. He founded the Old St. Michael High School, one of the first secondary schools for African Americans in rural Sumter County.
