Carter, Asa E., 1925-1979

Biography:

Asa Carter was a speechwriter for Alabama governor George Wallace. He founded the North Alabama Citizens Council and spoke in Clinton, Tennessee in 1957 when schools integrated there. He wrote two books under the name Forrest Carter.
