Braun-Reinitz attended Connecticut College. She was the Rochester CORE chair and also worked at national CORE office from 1961 to 1962. She participated in the Saint Louis, Missouri (via Little Rock, Arkansas) to New Orleans, Louisiana Freedom Ride from July 8 to 15, 1961. She is a painter and muralist in New York City who, in the late 1980s, painted the mural An Interracial Journey, based on experiences of slain civil rights workers Goodman, Schwerner, and Chaney.
