Alexander, T. M. (Theodore Martin)


Founder of one of the nation's oldest African American-owned insurance companies in 1931 (it closed in 1992); co-founded the Atlanta Negro Voters League in 1937; obtained insurance for vehicles during the 1955-1956 Montgomery bus boycott; served as a longtime member of the Morehouse College Board of Trustees; died November 1, 2001 at the age of 92.
