Biography:
As a twenty-two year old Antioch College student, Brooklyn, New York resident Ackerberg rode a Greyhound bus from Montgomery, Alabama to Jackson, Mississippi on a May 24, 1961 Freedom Ride. He was arrested the following day in Jackson, Mississippi for his participation.
