<dc_description>Oral history.Interview conducted on September 10, 1993 with Herman Cowan Glazier Jr. (born 1918). Glazier&apos;s service record in Mississippi government spans forty-five years from 1946 to 1987. This includes his serving as exectutive assistant to seven governors from 1963 to his retirement. During those years, he was instrumental in writing speeches, setting policy, and drafting legislation at the time of the Civil Rights Act and the Voting Rights Act of 1965.</dc_description>
