<dc_description>Oral history in which Bill Thomas discusses the relationships between the local CORE chapter and the national headquarters, other local organizations and committees, and among the members of the executive committee. He presents the goals of CORE, explains how these were achieved, and discusses the efforts needed to organize demonstrations and then maintain the momentum. He talks about the administrative workings of the local chapter and discusses the support for the chapter on the part of the adult black community.</dc_description>
