Houston updates NAACP Executive Secretary Walter White on the case of Missouri ex rel. Gaines v. Canada. Houston notes that he is working extremely long hours on the case. The ruling of this case, which was tried before the United States Supreme Court, required states with only one educational institution to allow entry to both white and African American students if no separate school for African Americans existed.
