Quote from document: "Lesbianism isn't something you are -- it is something you do -- Specifically, it's the love you give somebody who happens, also, to be female. " --Judy Grahn Quote from document: "Most people's ideas about lesbianism come from pornographic films and magazines, all of which are produced for and by men. It's a very strange thing to find your existence defined as part of somebody's pornographic fantasy library--sex episode number 93."--Judy Grahn Background information: Author of the internationally known Common Woman poems and the American Book Award- winning Queen of Wands, Judy Grahn [born July 28, 1940] is a lesbian feminist who has spent most of her life trying to increase public awareness about women's issues and women's lives. (Judith L. Grahn. (2001). Retrieved July 19, 2004, from Contemporary Authors Online database.) Note on date: 1971 is penciled on pamphlet.
