From the Campbell (Will D.) Papers. Memo from Will D. Campbell to Dr. W.C. Fields, dated February 18, 1965, entitled "Race in Public Relations." Campbell writes to Fields, the Director of Public Relations for the Southern Baptist Convention (SBC) Executive Committee in an effort to address the entire Convention. He requests that Baptists work for positive race relations while avoiding controversy within their institutions.
