From the Randall (Herbert) Freedom Summer Photographs. A group of local African-American male teenagers and boys and one volunteer work with rakes and scythes to clean the yard of the COFO-Hattiesburg Project's second community center, located at 1100 Dewey Street in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, during Freedom Summer, 1964. In the group of local people are James Townes and Willie "June Bug" Patterson.
