From the Randall (Herbert) Freedom Summer Photographs. A group of local African-American youths on the front porch of a house in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, during Freedom Summer 1964. Two signs reading "MFDP" (for Mississippi Freedom Democratic Party) can be seen hanging on the front of the house. Included in the photograph are Robert Evans, Douglas Gray, Samuel Howze, Alfred McGee, and James Townes.
