From the Randall (Herbert) Freedom Summer Photographs. Volunteer Doug Tuchman stands with two local African-American men in the front entrance of Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, during Freedom Summer, 1964. Visible between the two archways is a sign which reads "Help Make Mississippi Part of the U.S.A". The occasion is a mass meeting in the church in support of the Mississippi Freedom Democratic Party (MFDP).
