Close-up of local activist Levater Jackson, taken near the COFO-Hattiesburg project headquarters at 507 Mobile Street in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, during Freedom Summer, 1964. Jackson was a very active member of the Mississippi Freedom Democratic Party (MFDP) and participated in the Poor People's March on Washington in 1968.
