Title:Clay County Freedom Democratic Party struggle; [n.d.]

From the Miller (Michael J.) Civil Rights Collection; This is a newsletter to inform people what is going on in Clay County, because the mainstream media rarely reports on civil rights news or issues regarding African Americans. It explains why the Mississippi Freedom Democratic Party (MFDP) was founded and discusses the MFDP's Congressional challenge. The newsletter reports many acts of violence or intimidation against civil rights workers and African Americans during the early 1960s.

Electronic version made available through a National Leadership Grant for Libraries from the Institute for Museum and Library Services.
