Discusses the sit-in at Kress & Co., the attacks of four civil rights workers, and the trials that followed those incidents. Provides detail about an attack on the author by a man identified as V.R. Lee, who was also accused of beating a voter registration worker. Also discusses the civil suit to be filed by the victim.
