Photograph of a group of men sitting around a conference table where they appear to be holding a meeting. Participants include Rev. Clayton Russell, who is seated on the left hand side of the table, in the center, and is holding up one of his hands. Russell, a civil rights activist, headed the People's Independent Church of Christ. The young man at the end of the table, with his hat in front of him, is John Kinloch, managing editor of the California Eagle.
