Description:

Official U.S. Army Air Forces photograph of Elbert Hudson in uniform. Hudson, a native of Los Angeles, trained at the Tuskegee, Alabama flight school and was a combat fighter pilot in World War II. Hudson later practiced law in Los Angeles. From 1972-1992 he was President and Chief Executive Officer of Broadway Federal Bank, a bank organized in 1947 to serve the African-American community. He currently is chairman of the bank's Board of Directors.
