Photograph of Reuben Borough, right, and an unidentified woman welcoming Charlotta Bass back to Los Angeles after Bass traveled to Europe. At the time the photo was taken, Bass, publisher of the California Eagle, was a candidate for the U.S. House of Representatives on the Progressive Party ticket, representing the 14th Congressional District of California. Borough was the party's candidate for California state treasurer in 1950.
