The man seated on the left is Mr. Simmons, an attorney; the woman seated next to him, second from left, is Adele Young, proprietor of the Hugh Gordon Book Shop on Central Ave. The man at the far right, with his hand over his mouth, is Philip M. Connelly, secretary-treasurer of the Los Angeles CIO Council. The identities of the other people are unknown.
