Photograph taken by the American Red Cross and sent to newspapers throughout the U.S., including the California Eagle. The photo contained the following caption: "New York City--Red Cross Club Director George W. Goodman (second from left) chats with Mrs. Eleanor Roosevelt at the 'Red Cross at War' rally at New York's Madison Square Garden last week. To Mr. Goodman's left is Mr. Leon Fraser, national chairman of the 1944 Red Cross War Fund. Mr. John Golden (right), noted producer, was Mrs. Roosevelt's escort. Mr. Goodman, director of the Great George Street Club in Bristol, England, is on leave from his overseas job to tour this country speaking in behalf of the Red Cross fund campaign. He was a featured speaker at the Madison Square Garden rally."
