Letter from Isaac W. Williams, South Carolina Field Director for the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) in Columbia, South Carolina, to Mrs. Mattie DeLaine in Charlotte, North Carolina, requesting her presence at the twenty-fifth anniversary of the 1954 United States Supreme Court decision in the Brown v. Board of Education trial which outlawed school segregation. Williams asks that DeLaine accept an award in honor of her husband, Joseph A. DeLaine, Sr. The letter is written on stationary listing other local NAACP officers.
