Title:Letter, 1973 Aug. 20, (Charlotte, N.C.), Joseph A. DeLaine, Sr., to Louis DeLaine, (Florence, S.C.)
Date:1973 Aug. 20

Letter from August 20, 1973 from Joseph A. DeLaine, Sr., of Charlotte, North Carolina, to his cousin Louis DeLaine in Florence, South Carolina, regarding the men who brought the slander case against DeLaine; an upcoming article in the Sumter, South Carolina Daily Item on the Clarendon County, South Carolina school segregation case, also known as Briggs v. Elliott; and the uncertainty around Martin Keeth's injuries in the Lake City, South Carolina shooting incident, which keeps him away from South Carolina more than the outstanding warrant.

The Civil Rights Digital Library received support from a National Leadership Grant for Libraries awarded to the University of Georgia by the Institute of Museum and Library Services for the aggregation and enhancement of partner metadata.
