Letter from Joseph A. DeLaine, Sr., in Hollis, Long Island, New York to John D. Bright, Bishop of the African Methodist Episcopal (A.M.E.) Church of the First Episcopal District, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania requesting that DeLaine be returned to Calvary Church in Brooklyn, New York with Reverend L. Charles Williams. DeLaine explains that he plans to retire in 1972 and relocate to Charlotte, North Carolina.

The Civil Rights Digital Library received support from a National Leadership Grant for Libraries awarded to the University of Georgia by the Institute of Museum and Library Services for the aggregation and enhancement of partner metadata.
