|Title:||Decision concerning the construction permit applications of Midcom Corporation and Nuance Corporation, March 5, 1981|
|Date:||1981 Mar. 5, 2007|
Twelve page decision considering the applications of Midcom Corporation and Nuance Corporation to construct a new FM broadcast station in Columbia, South Carolina. Midcom Corporation's application was granted; this was contested by Nuance Corporation. The decision considers preferences and demerits attributed to Midcom and Nuance Corporation's applications, as well as exceptions that were filed by Nuance after the application was granted to Midcom. Ultimately, it was determined that Midcom's proposal showed potentially stronger program diversity than Nuance's, and because of this, the application for construction was granted to Midcom.
