|Title:||Memorandum, , I. D. Newman to Gloster B. Current|
Three page typewritten memorandum from Isaiah DeQuincey Newman, South Carolina field director for the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People, to Gloster B. Current, Director of Branches and Field Administration for the same organization, probably written in 1966. The memo summarizes the results of membership campaigns held in key South Carolina regions that are defined as Greenville, Richland-Lexington, Charleston, and the Pee Dee area. Although Newman reports slowness in membership overall, he expects the South Carolina state conference to reach its quota of approximately 9,500 members for the year 1966.
The Civil Rights Digital Library received support from a National Leadership Grant for Libraries awarded to the University of Georgia by the Institute of Museum and Library Services for the aggregation and enhancement of partner metadata.
