One page letter from Isaiah DeQuincey Newman to Bishop Roy C. Clark, resident bishop of the Columbia, South Carolina district of the United Methodist Church. The letter, dated January 25, 1983, reports the results of a survey conducted to determine the need for a new congregation in the Meadowlake housing development just outside of Columbia, and requests authorization for this new congregation from the bishop.
