Four page monthly report prepared by Isaiah DeQuincey Newman, field secretary of the South Carolina Conference, NAACP, dated February 5- March 2, 1964. The report begins with a summary of meetings, speaking engagements, television interviews, news releases, travel, and correspondence; this is followed by a list of highlights in specific areas that include school desegregation, voter registration, political participation, NAACP branch meetings, and conference activity. Also included among the highlights is a frugality initiative known as Emphasis Sackcloth; money saved by participation in this enterprise was donated to the NAACP Freedom Fund.

The Civil Rights Digital Library received support from a National Leadership Grant for Libraries awarded to the University of Georgia by the Institute of Museum and Library Services for the aggregation and enhancement of partner metadata.
