Highlights of the report include statewide updates on civil rights issues such as the memorialization of slain civil rights leader Medgar Evers, police brutality, voter registration, implementation of the public accommodations section of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, and supervision of the volunteer state youth conference task force.
The Civil Rights Digital Library received support from a National Leadership Grant for Libraries awarded to the University of Georgia by the Institute of Museum and Library Services for the aggregation and enhancement of partner metadata.
