Annual Report, Program and Activities December 5, 1965-December 2, 1966 South Carolina Conference of Branches of the NAACP prepared by I. Dequincey Newman, Field Director of the NAACP South Carolina Conference of Branches. The report includes a summary of activities that includes meetings, speaking engagements, and media interviews. The report also includes a description of the internal structure of the organization, statewide updates and summaries on the establishment of new branches of the organization, African American candidates running for political office, voter registration efforts, anti-poverty initiatives, school desegregation and desegregation lawsuits, and fair employment violations.
The Civil Rights Digital Library received support from a National Leadership Grant for Libraries awarded to the University of Georgia by the Institute of Museum and Library Services for the aggregation and enhancement of partner metadata.
