Encyclopedia article about the WSB-TV Newsfilm Collection, part of the Walter J. Brown Media Archives and Peabody Awards Collection at the University of Georgia (UGA). Located in UGA's Ilah Dunlap Little Memorial Library, the collection is a remarkable treasure of moving-image history focusing on Atlanta and the surrounding region. It contains more than 5 million feet of original newsfilm, both edited and unedited footage, from 1948 to 1981.
The Civil Rights Digital Library received support from a National Leadership Grant for Libraries awarded to the University of Georgia by the Institute of Museum and Library Services for the aggregation and enhancement of partner metadata.
