Oral history in which Boyd Morris describes his response to civil rights demonstrators at the Mayfair, his confrontation with Jesse Jackson, his reasons for not desegregating his restaurant, and the results of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 on downtown businesses including ails of his years on the city council and as mayor of Greensboro.

The Civil Rights Digital Library received support from a National Leadership Grant for Libraries awarded to the University of Georgia by the Institute of Museum and Library Services for the aggregation and enhancement of partner metadata.
