Charred remains of Vernon Dahmer's car the morning his house and store in the Kelly Settlement (Hattiesburg, Miss.) were firebombed on January 10, 1966. The Hattiesburg American reported "The vehicle bore marks of a shooting."
The Civil Rights Digital Library received support from a National Leadership Grant for Libraries awarded to the University of Georgia by the Institute of Museum and Library Services for the aggregation and enhancement of partner metadata.
