Demonstration on morning of Vernon Dahmer's funeral, January 15, 1966, Hattiesburg (Miss.). Marchers fill intersection of Batson and Market streets due to halt of march following arrest of participant. J. C. Fairley, Forrest County NAACP president (black male in glasses), negotiates with Hattiesburg police and city officials.

The Civil Rights Digital Library received support from a National Leadership Grant for Libraries awarded to the University of Georgia by the Institute of Museum and Library Services for the aggregation and enhancement of partner metadata.
