Back of photo reads: "CMP Trial: Septima Clark, Perry MacKay Sturges, Guy Carawan, Cecil Brandstetter, George Barret, conferring after August 1959 raid and arrest." The raid began at 9:00pm on July 31, 1959 and lasted until the early morning hours of August 1, 1959.
