Description:

Footage of demonstration against school construction at the site of MacDowell School. James Farmer, Lloyd Barbee, Father Groppi are present at the protest. This was the first day that Milwaukee United School Integration Committee (MUSIC) and Congress of Racial Equality (CORE) joined publicly at a protest to end de facto school segregation in Milwaukee. The clip includes singing of protest songs, such as "no more school board over me." This clip includes both silent and sound footage.
