Title:Poster: "We Want Public Schools," Help Our Public Education, undated
Description:

This poster declares the desire for public schools. While some Southern States and communities fought court-ordered school integration by creating private, segregated schools, some community members recognized the importance of public schools and worked to keep schools open in the face of integration.

The Civil Rights Digital Library received support from a National Leadership Grant for Libraries awarded to the University of Georgia by the Institute of Museum and Library Services for the aggregation and enhancement of partner metadata.
